Love transforms: Isabel Oli and Paolo Contis

IN BETWEEN TAKES - IN BETWEEN TAKES By Trixie Reyna -
After 10 seasons of inspiring viewers with the power of love through heart-warming and romantic stories, Love to Love, the only twin-bill kilig program on television, has come up with new colorful love tales that will inspire the viewers to be proud of who they are in Love to Love Season 11.

Premiering on July 2, Love to Love Season 11 brings back the stars of two highest-rating seasons with its two new fascinating back-to-back episodes: "Fat is Fabulous" and "Best Friends."

"Fat is Fabulous" features Paolo Contis and Isabel Oli of Season 9's "Like Mother, Like Daughters" episode. "Best Friends," on the other hand, top-bills Ciara Sotto and Paolo Ballesteros whose love team appeared in Season 8's "Love-an o Bawi."

"Fat is Fabulous," directed by Mark Reyes, is a magical tale of an obese student named Cristy (Isabel Oli), who has always dreamed of becoming thin. Her wish will be granted when a weird scientist plays fairy godfather to her and gives her some magic diet pills-instantly changing her figure from blubber to a slim and sexy young lady!

With her newfound fabulous form and beauty, Cristy becomes an instant celebrity in school. She will have a cool and popular group of friends and, most of all, she will have a budding romance with her long-time crush, substitute instructor Bruce (Justin Cuyugan)!

As Cristy's "newfound life" overwhelms her, she forgets her old-time friend and nerdy buddy Boyong (Paolo Contis). But what if Cristy's magic diet pills begin to conk out? Will Bruce continue to love big fat Cristy? And once Cristy and Boyong learn to be proud of who they are, will they realize that their true colors match? Completing the cast of "Fat is Fabulous" are Tin Arnaldo, Vaness del Moral, and Vivo Ouano.

This romantic episode goes back-to-back with the heart-tickling story of "Best Friends" with director Khryss Adalia at the helm. The funny and fascinating story of "Best Friends" revolves around the unusual relationship of gay Mandy (Paolo Ballesteros) and tomboy Sam (Ciara Sotto). The lives and loves of Sam and Mandy begin to get tangled when Sam's crush, Kaye (Valerie Concepcion), falls in love with her bubbly best friend Mandy!

Things get more complicated when Mandy becomes head-over-heels in love with his crush, Gio (Marco Alcaraz). But a chickboy like Gio, meanwhile, finds it a pleasant challenge to woo a hard-to-get woman like Sam instead of the other girls around him.

How will Mandy and Sam free themselves from this knotted situation? Will they find the affection they need in the arms of their crushes or will they find true love between themselves? Do best friends really make the best of lovers?

Make your Sundays truly colorful beginning July 2 with Love to Love Season 11 right after SOP Gigsters on GMA-7.

Japan's biggest and hottest star, Takuya Kimura, is about to make a perfect landing on Philippine television with GMA Network's newest Japanese Drama, Good Luck, to replace the recently-concluded top-rating Gokusen beginning June 26.

Japan's most sought-after product endorser, male model, TV and movie star, and pop icon will conquer Pinoy TV screens and surely win over countless Pinoy fans in Good Luck, which topped viewership ratings the year it was shown in Japan and ranks third in the list of Dramas with the Highest Single Episode Rating in the past decade. In fact, this irresistibly good-looking versatile drama actor was named "Viewer Ratings Man," as practically all of the programs he starred in were certified top-raters.

Good Luck is a story of 21st century love, dreams, and passion, involving Hajime Shinkai (Takuya Kimura), who, having achieved his life-long dream of becoming a pilot, becomes a co-pilot on an international jetliner and is now working to become a captain. But he can't seem to please Captain Koda (Shinichi Tsutsumi), who has become an exacting taskmaster since an air incident which happened many years ago. To complicate matters, he begins a relationship with a stubborn and straight-talking mechanic, Ayumi (Kou Shibasaki), whose parents died many years ago in the plane crash for which Captain Koda feels he is responsible. Will this stand in the way of love happening tens of thousands of feet in the air?

Pinoy viewers will surely experience a different high with GMA-7's newest J-Drama Good Luck, airing weeknights beginning June 26, replacing Gokusen.
