The long wait is finally over! Making Sunday summer nights more thrilling and fun is the return of the top-rating horror-comedy program Kakabaka-BOO! and its host, TV's one and only Horror Diva Chaka Doll, for another special run of TV's funniest kid-oriented scare-fest beginning April 30.
Kakabaka-BOO! returns with a resounding bang after a successful first season, wherein it garnered a 30.2% TV rating average and was placed at the #12 slot in the Top 20 Overall Primetime Programs in Mega Manila for 2005 as well as the #2 slot in the Top 20 Weekend Primetime Programs in Mega Manila also for 2005.
This wacky, spine-tingling, scary, and funny show boasts of its crossover appeal, with the program's comic elements, central love story, striking visual effects, and Chaka Doll's dynamic storytelling leaving the kids and the young-at-heart entangled in a fit of chills, goosebumps, and laughter. Whether sun-bathing in her two-piece or joining the Santa Cruzan in her Majika-inspired gown, the unforgettable Chaka Doll promises to make summer sizzle with rib-tickling, edge-of-the-seat episodes.
In Kakabaka-BOO! Scary Summer's first presentation, written by Jun Lana and directed by Rico Gutierrez, Chaka Doll will surely give Katrina Halili a run for her money as the next sexy cover girl when the horror diva decides to finally show some skin! This must-see "Siokoy on the Loose" episode will set the tone for the season, as it tells of the beachadventure of Jeremy (Antonio Aquitania) and Mikoy (Bearwin Meily) when they host a bikini open in an island, where Jeremy meets and falls in love with Mae (played by Katrina Halili herself), a native who is said to be the object of adoration of a very selfish and overprotective "siokoy"!
How will Mae and Jeremy ever have a happy summer love affair when there's a "siokoy" on the way? Find out in Kakabaka-BOO!'s summer pilot episode which also stars Ella V, Paolo Paraiso, Tess Bomb, Renz Juan, and Patricia Ysmael.
With the tag line "Kakabaka-BOO! Scary Summer, sisigaw ka ngayong tag-araw!" the show will bring the horror and laughter every Sunday night this summer, beginning on April 30, after Ang Mahiwagang Baul, on GMA-7.
