Königs to launch 'Nganong Ni-Enter!'album at Handuraw

Fresh from their successful collaboration with Dice and K9 Mobbstarr for the official soundtrack of the Vic Sotto starrer "Enteng Kabisote 2," and also from a gig during the Sinulog, Talisay City-based hip-hop trio Königs (pronounced Koi-nigs) is expected to perform at the Handuraw Café in Mabolo tonight for the RNB Hip Hop Rap Nights and the launching of their debut album "Nganong Ni-Enter!"-a sarcastic Bisdak punchline that lambasts specifically a person that indulged in substance abuse and couldn't quite make much of life.
The 12-track album, which the trio considers a labor of their love to propagate Bisdak hip-hop culture, is mixed and mastered at 6000 Goonz, released by Alpha Music and distributed by Harmony Music.
Tonight, Naw-t-Dog, the former member of Brownian Method, and hypemen Brent and Garvie will perform songs they penned other than the carrier track Nganong Ni-Enter, such as Pop Chick featuring Hi-C of Dice and K9 Mobbstarr which is about this heartthrob who desired to win the heart of a hottie, but couldn't manage even a "hi" or a "hello" as he is always overtaken by his other half-his timid side.
The Ungo Ka! track takes off with a hardcore sound in it, but the wackiness on how the rhymes were written on the physique of a person into substance abuse has overridden the depth, and comes in more of a fusion of novelty and hip-hop.
Money and not having not much of it, errr...not really having any of it is the theme of Wawart. Funny query blurted out by a blind man: "Asa na mang kwarta?"
Naw-t-Dog explained Funky Juan is his story, of the things he went through while pursuing his music. He said he just would want to put across the message that even if working out for the publishing of musical creations would mean talent scouts preying on artists, this shouldn't dampen spirits. He pointed out that what he went through served as a lesson on who to trust and who to work with.
The group mentioned that at AstroPlus alone at SM City Cebu, sales hit 50 copies already, adding that they considered this as already a feat, considering they're local artists on their first album. The other worthwhile endeavor that the trio has indulged into is the raising of funds for charitable works. By writing the theme song for the SOS Village, an orphanage, and for having "Nganong Ni-Enter!" featured in the Philippine Red Cross Album, the group contributed in raising funds for charity.
Tonight, the trio will be performing back to back to back with Dice and K9 Mobbstarr, 7th sun, NYOR, The Untouchables and Body Reflexion Dancers, and would want to thank Fubu Collection Philippines with marketing manager Carlo Maniquez, G-Boi Cardenas owner/manager of Inkworks Tattoo in Bulacao for the overflowing support.
