PRA gears up for growth at Retail Leaders Summit
CEBU, Philippines — The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) is urging stakeholders to join the Retail Leaders Summit on March 5, 2025, at Novotel Manila Araneta, Quezon City, as the country's retail industry gears up for a promising growth trajectory.
PRA President Roberto Claudio Sr. said that the upcoming summit is not just about preparing for the future but about seizing opportunities for growth and success.
Claudio, who is also the chairman emeritus of Quorum Holdings Corporation, the company behind the Toby’s Sports chain, added that the summit serves as a vital platform for leaders to expand their networks, enhance their capabilities, and drive their organizations forward.
This premier learning event will bring together visionary executives and industry leaders for an engaging exchange of insights to foster innovation and shape the future of retail.
With the theme “Retail Recharge: Inspiring Strategies for Retail Success,” the summit will equip participants with actionable insights on emerging trends, transformative technologies, and strategic frameworks essential for navigating today’s retail landscape.
A key focus will be on people leadership, transformational change, and customer centricity, providing leaders with the tools to implement meaningful changes within their organizations.
According to Claudio, the event is expected to attract over 200 business leaders, top executives, senior and middle managers, supervisors, SMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, and cross-sector organizations.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into building high-performing teams, enhancing managerial effectiveness, fostering resilience, and aligning strategic goals—all essential for sustained success in today’s competitive market.
A highlight of the summit is the World Café Workshop on Future Retail Challenge: Forging Ahead with Retail Foresight, an interactive session designed to promote collaboration, encourage problem-solving, and underscore the power of unity in driving meaningful industry change.
The Retail Leaders Summit presents an invaluable opportunity for participants to strengthen their brands, connect with industry peers, and contribute to the transformation of the retail sector.
Claudio noted that the industry anticipates a 10 percent to 15 percent increase in revenues this year, up from the estimated P4.7 trillion recorded last year.
According to market forecasts, the Philippine retail industry is projected to reach approximately US$71.74 billion by 2025, driven by rising consumer spending, a growing middle class, and the continued expansion of online retail platforms. This growth is expected to follow a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 7.56% over the coming years.
