CEBU, Philippines — Filipinos are encouraged to visit Singapore now that travel restrictions are lifted and international flights have resumed.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced its partnership with EastWest Bank, through a year-long Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to encourage more Filipino travelers to visit Singapore.

The MOU signing ceremony included Aylwin P. Tamayo, EastWest’s First Vice President and Head of Credit Cards Business, and from STB, John Conceicao, Executive Director, Southeast Asia.

Through this partnership, customers of EastWest can look forward to a wide range of attractive deals and promotions to make their Singapore trips more fun and exciting. For example, EastWest credit cardholders will get a free transport voucher worth SGD20 when they spend more than SGD200 with Resorts World Sentosa until November 5, 2022.

“STB is delighted to collaborate with EastWest. This partnership is an important part of Singapore’s tourism recovery efforts to warmly welcome Filipino travelers back to Singapore,” John Conceicao, STB’s Executive Director, Southeast Asia.

“EastWest is thrilled to partner with Singapore. The opportunity for growth between the two parties is exceptional, especially with the consumer trend of ‘revenge traveling’ taking the stage as of late. Our customers can look forward to upcoming promotions that they can definitely benefit from,” shared Aylwin Tamayo of EastWest.

Singapore opened to quarantine-free travel to all fully-vaccinated visitors from earlier this year, with no testing or quarantine required. Since then, the country has received over 126,000 visitors from the Philippines this year as of July 2022.
