CEBU, Philippines —  On-demand delivery platform Lalamove announced its coverage expansion in Cebu, now servicing deliveries to Danao City and Carcar, as it registered 10 percent increase in deliveries.

In a press statement, Lalamove said its recent expansion to more areas highlights the growing demand for same-day, door-to-door, and last-minute delivery services in Cebu Province. It also shows Cebuanos’ growing confidence in Lalamove as a business partner for fast, reliable, and affordable deliveries.

Lalamove saw an increase in Cebu bookings by 1600 percent in 2020, with an average of 75,000 bookings a month. After seeing the growing demand and to cater to more Cebuanos, it expanded its delivery services to Consolacion, Liloan, Minglanilla, and Talisay.

This year, the delivery platform continues to register an increasing number of bookings, especially in long-distance deliveries. Out of the 110,000 bookings made in Cebu in the first half of 2021, 10 percent or 11,000 were outside the tri-cities.

Lalamove has provided last-minute delivery services for Cebu residents since it arrived in Cebu in 2018. Four years later, it continues to deliver possibilities with its recent expansion to Carcar, Naga, and San Fernando in the south, and Compostela and Danao in the north.

Lalamove’s additional features and services like the multi-stop feature which allows up to 20 stops in one booking have proven to be beneficial for MSMEs and companies operating outside Cebu’s tri-cities. Their Queuing Service, Purchase or Pabili Service, Additional Assistant, and Cash Handling Service are also available in all its service areas in Cebu making delegating daily errands possible like sending someone to the bank.

Lalamove’s fleet of light trucks, multi-purpose vehicles, utility vans, and motorcycles in Cebu allows hassle-free deliveries of all kinds of items from small documents and food to large-scale furniture and appliances.

During its first year in Cebu, Lalamove logged a monthly average of 152 bookings in the tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapulapu. This number grew to an average of 4,400 bookings a month in 2019.

In 2020, localized lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, limited mobility, and border restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic amplified the demand for same-day delivery of goods and essentials, especially for local businesses operating amid restrictions.

Established in Hong Kong in December 2013, Lalamove was created to make on-demand and same-day delivery possible for everyone at the touch of a button. It provides delivery services to independent brick-and-mortar stores, large restaurants, retail chains, and e-commerce businesses.

Today, it operates in 21 cities across Asia and Latin America, including Cebu and Manila in the Philippines. It provides different vehicle options according to needs, easy customer transactions, allows flexible schedules, and multiple bookings to help businesses of all sizes grow their reach.
