Nailplay & Beauty Lounge: Sharing the love for pampering

Veloso moved to Sydney, Australia with her family in 2000. She started working at the age of 14 and worked part-time all throughout her high school and college years. She later on graduated with the degree of Bachelor of International Studies with Spanish from Macquarie University in Sydney.

She then worked for a large global investment firm in Sydney. However, her love for holistic health and sharing it with people brought her back to her roots in Cebu and in 2015 Nailplay and Beauty Lounge was born.

Now, the thriving nail and beauty salon located in a posh community at the back of One Paseo on Maria Luisa Road is celebrating its fifth year.

Veloso shared that while Sydney has been her home for close to two decades now, she still loves the Philippines.

“Honestly, I can see myself living almost anywhere. I guess I’ve grown up with the mentality to be flexible, accepting of my environment and others. As for the Philippines, sure why not? I love tropical weather, sunshine and mango shakes! There are so many opportunities in the Philippines and I love the community and friendly people,” she quipped.
