CCCI to launch B2B app, angel investing program
CEBU, Philippines — A B2B app for the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and angel investing program are among highlights in the Entrepreneurs' Summit happening next month.
CCCI president Virgilio Espeleta announced in a press conference Tuesday the B2B app would help chamber member companies do business with one another.
Paulo Uy, director of Cebu Digital Outsourcing Solutions Inc., will explicate "B2B Inclusive Growth App Launch.”
Espeleta, who also heads the entrepreneurship committee of the 2019 Cebu Business Month, said an angel investing program will also be introduced at the summit.
The summit, happening on June 12-14 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, will feature angel investors whom CCCI member firms can collaborate with for potential investment opportunities.
Espeleta said, that this event is cutting across all size, stage and level in business where entrepreneurs, investors and supporters convene.
The summit will feature speakers from government and private sectors.
Department of Science and Technology secretary Fortunato Dela Pena will give the keynote speech on "Innovation in Action."
Among the speakers also include Sandy Roque, enterprise analytics head at PLDT Enterprise; Fred Groe, analytics lead at Amazon Web Services; and Ed Sahagun, CEO of Union Galvasteel Philcement and Phinma Solar.
Department of Trade and Industry secretary Ramon Lopez will also speak about ease of doing business.
Simultaneously, the 2019 Cebu Innovation Expo will assemble 136 exhibitors and stakeholders from the different sectors
These include Philippine Franchise Association, Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, travel agencies, real estate firms, entrepreneurs, startup businesses and ICT-BPM companies.
The expo targets companies seeking to adopt useful innovations or inventions. (FREEMAN)
