Manila-based developer mulls Vismin expansion
CEBU, Philippines — After its successful entry into commercial building development in Cebu, Manila-based Arthaland Corporation announced its aggressive expansion in Visayas and Mindanao.
In his recent visit, Arthaland executive vice-president and treasurer Leo Po, he said that the company remains bullish on exploring and making its presence felt outside Metro Manila.
The company will soon open the P8-billion Cebu Exchange building, located in Lahug area, across the Cebu IT Park.
The 39-storey building will be one of the tallest structures within the area.
The Cebu Exchange is a mixed-use commercial and office spaces, which is the debut project of Arthaland in Cebu.
"We are looking for new properties to develop in Visayas and Mindanao,” added Po.
Aside from expanding its building project portfolio in the southern part of the country, Po said the company is also stepping up its lead in establishing sustainable vertical developments in the Philippines.
He said the company has been committed to deliver the best and green developments, not just to add plus factor to each of its projects but it is also the company's way of boosting its bottomline.
"You will not know the value of a sustainable development unless you experience it," he said.
Arthaland is one of the hardcore real estate companies in the Philippines that advocate stronger the development of sustainable projects.
"When tenants feel the benefits, the value of the project will rise. Eventually people would want to know what it’s like and more will adopt to it,” he added.
Once completed, Cebu Exchange will be the biggest green building in the country with a projected-size of 109,000 square meters and is on track to meet the highest certifications in both LEED and Berde ratings.
Cebu Exchange’s development is divided into two phases, of which the first phase will be completed by 2020 and the second phase by 2022.
The publicly-listed property developer's flagship residential project are; Arya Residences, a two tower boutique condominium in Mckinley Parkway, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), and the Arthaland Century Pacific Tower, located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 30th street in BGC.
Its mother company, the CPG Holdings Inc., is the company behind the Century Pacific Food Inc., one of the country's largest canned food companies, the maker of Century tuna, 555, Argentina and other canned goods household brands.(FREEMAN)
