Germany to hire 400 Pinoy nurses

CEBU, Philippines - More Filipino nurses now have the opportunity to work as healthcare professionals in Germany, as part of the labor agency's project with the German government.

The labor agency announced the advisory released by the International Placement Service of the German Federal Employment Agency (ZAV/BA), the European nation is seeking to hire 400 qualified applicants to fill up its vacancies for nurses to be designated at ICU, general, and geriatric care wards.

The Triple Win Project is a government-to-government agreement between the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration under the supervision of the Department of Labor and Employment with the Federal Republic of Germany.

The job opportunity in Germany can provide qualified nurses a starting monthly salary of €1,900 (gross) and an increase to € 2,300 after recognition as a qualified nurse.

According to DOLE, qualified applicants must be a Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines with four years of professional education in Bachelor of Science in Nursing, has an active Philippine Nursing License and with at least two years of professional experience as nurse in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and care institutions.

Applicants must also have German language proficiency and is willing to undergo German language training in the Philippines to attain Level B1 (to be paid by the employer) or with Bl or B2 language proficiency level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The advisory, on the other hand, noted that the employer will shoulder the visa and airfare from the Philippines to Germany of the hired nurses and will assist the employee in finding a suitable accommodation.

However, the selected nurse will be responsible for his/her own board and lodging expenses.

Qualified applicants may register online at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph and personally submit the required documents at the POEA office in Manila, such as cover letter and curriculum vitae with colored passport size picture in English and, if possible, in German; High School diploma (notarized).

Furthermore, applicants are required to present their original documents for authentication of written information before forwarding the resume to the employer.

Applicants can submit their applications on or before May 15, 2017. (FREEMAN)
