Mandaue development project opens showroom
CEBU, Philippines - Mandani Bay, a 20-hectare mixed use community in Mandaue City, recently opened a showroom unveiling the project’s master plan along the Mactan Channel.
The Mandani Bay Show Gallery is a 1,500-square meter showroom composed of a studio, multiple bedroom units, and a huge scale model of the site.
The latest real-estate project of Taft Properties in partnership with Hongkong Land, Mandani Bay will offer 10, 000 residential units with “simple, functional international quality.”
Mandani Residences, the first phase of the development plan is set to be completed by 2020. Commercial establishments will also be spread throughout the property, including a mall within the area.
Project manager Gilbert Ang said Mandani Bay is a 15-year development plan.
While the selling of units already started in Cebu, the developers are also crafting plans to extend the selling in national and overseas level.
“[The Gaisanos] want Cebuanos to benefit from the project,” said Christopher Narciso, Chief Operating Officer and President of Taft Properties.
The development is prospected to “promote the creativity, pride of culture, and love of travel and adventure,” which according to the developers are the “core values of Cebuanos.”
Despite doubts on the impact of the Duterte presidency to the real estate sector, Narciso said that they see Mandani Bay to be “very strong amidst change.” Also he added that they are working closely with the local government unit and concerned government agencies.
Developers also assure that the project will support public transportation, as they are coordinating with the authorities, including the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for the permit for ferry operations.
They also provided an environmental sustainability master plan, which includes certain provisions “ensuring sustainability,” but according to the developers, it depends to the government if the property is to be enrolled in the Biodiversity Partnership Program, a government effort, which aims to protect the environment, especially the agricultural lands.
