Online real estate portal taps local brokerage firm
CEBU, Philippines – International online real estate portal Lamudi.com.ph has linked up with a Cebuano brokerage firm to expand its product listing with a wider network of licensed brokers. Lamudi connects sellers, buyers and tenants to easily buy, rent and sell homes, land and commercial properties.
According to Lamudi.com.ph managing director Jacqueline van den Ende, the company has strategically partnered with Leuterio Realty due to its wide network of licensed brokers as well as quality real estate products not only in Cebu but also across the country.
Lamudi is a lead generator with 700,000 unique visitors per month and is positioning to become the leading website of real estate properties in the country.
"Our partnership with Leuterio Realty and Brokerage will help us promote our brand here in Cebu where Leuterio is also known as the biggest brokerage firm," she said.
Lamudi.com.ph currently have 90,000 property listings in the country,
Leuterio on the other hand has an existing 15,000 listings which includes 400 projects across the country with about 200 to 300 units for each project.
"We believe that the internet plays a huge part of the Filipino lifestyle now. They search anything and everything through the internet and it pays to make information about properties available online," said Anthony Gerard Leuterio in a press conference during the signing of Memorandum of Agreement of the two companies.
Leuterio currently partners with over 189 developers nationwide including the major national developers Ayala Land, SM Development Corp, Megaworld and Filinvest as well as known local developers in Cebu like Primary Homes, Cebu Landmasters and more.
"We will also help track how many of the inquiries actually end up in actual purchases which Lamudi currently cannot track through their website," said Leuterio.
The PLDT group has invested 500 euros for internet based enterprises and currently owns eight percent of Lamudi, which is a global enterprise currently valued at 500 billion euros.
Leuterio Realty and Brokerage president and chief executive officer Anthony Leuterio said that they will provide content listing to Lamudi.com.ph as well as partner with them for other promotional activities as well as marketing strategies training.
Ende said that the Philippines is among the countries in the world with very high internet penetration rate at 39 percent, a huge jump from only 10 percent in 2008.
Lamudi was first launched in May 2013 and is now in 32 countries. In the Philippines, the website was launched in January 2014.
Just like other internet enterprises under Rocket Internet like Lazada and Zalora, Lamudi has shown fast growth and the PLDT group is looking to put in more investments to the company.
Leuterio Brokerage's subsidiary Rent.ph will also complement the requirement of online Lamudi's online clients, such as those looking for office and residential spaces, and property owners offering their houses or buildings for rent.
Founded in 2013, Lamudi now operates in 32 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, and has already become market leader in some of them.
