Pinoys get best techie deals at Smart Bro expo

CEBU, Philippines - Filipino gadget lovers were able to get their hands on the latest gadgets at rock-bottom prices during the 1st Smart Bro Gadget Expo, the biggest gadget convention in the country held recently at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

Gadget lovers were able to get as much as 60% off on retail prices for the latest smartphones, tablets, gaming devices and accessories from participating partner brands such as Samsung, LG, Acer, Huawei, ZTE, Starmobile, and Sony, among many others.

The discounted gadgets were made available to everyone who bought a Smart Bro mobile broadband device or prepaid load. All gadgets purchased through the Expo also came with a Smart Bro prepaid SIM, so users could instantly experience blazing-fast mobile surfing speeds on the country’s largest broadband network.

“We were surprised by the astounding turnout at the first ever Smart Bro Gadget Expo, which really reinforces the fact that a lot of Filipinos are crazy about gadgets,” said Michele Curran, Data and International Services Marketing Head at Smart Communications, Inc (Smart). “With this successful first run, we look forward to bringing the Smart Bro Gadget Expo to more places nationwide in the coming months.”

Aside from getting massive gadget discounts, attendees also got the chance to bid on premium gadgets such as the Starmobile Hit, the ZTE 3G Pocket WiFi, the PlayStation Vita TV, and the Smart Bro LTE Pocket WiFi, among others, in the exciting “Piso Gadget Auctions” with starting bids of just 1 peso.

But more than just gadget discounts, the Smart Bro Gadget Expo also provided a venue for all “techie” geeks to experience and know more about their passions—such as gaming, music, and knowing about the latest developments in the tech industry.

Through various tech talks that were staged during the Expo, attendees were able to get first dibs on the latest gadgets that are about to launch in the country—such as the Alcatel Idol X+, the Alcatel Boomband, and the Acer C720 Chromebook.

Because of the success of the first Smart Bro Gadget Expo, more Pinoys will be able to get exclusive discounts, chances to bid on items, and learn about the latest technologies through tech talks as the country’s largest gadget convention goes nationwide.
