Consulting firm to conductproject management training

CEBU, Philippines - Acknowledging excellent project management as an effective strategy to achieve business results, a consulting firm will conduct a training program on project management excellence on September 26 to 27 at Quest Hotel and Convention Center in Cebu City.

AGF Consulting Group - Philippines recognizes the growth of the project management profession as more organizations become aware of its value in meeting their goals in the business.

The company cited that the project management standards and practices can be applied in all industries including construction, manufacturing, aerospace, telecommunications, engineering and human resources among others.

With the increasing interest for project management standardization, it also identified the growing demand for highly qualified project management practitioners.

The two-day program will discuss the basics of project management, practical application of the concepts in the day-to-day planning and execution of projects and other essential elements such as  developing the project scope and schedule, creating a project management plan, and developing a communications plan.

Participants are expected to understand the nine knowledge areas of project management, know the steps required to plan and manage a project, use the primary planning documents for a project, understand the characteristics of a project and its deliverables and identify the most common phases of a project life cycle and the typical project management tasks associated with each stage.

It will further tackle topics on project management integration and strategies in managing the project scope, time, cost, quality, communication, human resource, risk, and procurement.  (FREEMAN)
