Seminar on new accounting standards slated this month
CEBU, Philippines - A national auditing firm will organize a free public seminar on recent accounting standards profession-related updates in Cebu that is slated on September 30.
Navarro Amper and Co. shall hold a public seminar entitled “2013 Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and Regulatory Updatesâ€. This is accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission.
The seminar shall cover the new and revised standards in the profession which include the changes in accounting for employee benefits and fair value measurement.
It will also tackle tax updates such as withholding taxes, handling tax assessments of the Bureau of Internal Revenue and significant issuances from the bureau and court decisions.
The topics will be discussed by Navarro Amper&Co.Technical Research Group head Wilfredo Baltazar and Atty. Walter L. Abela, Jr., of the Audit and Assurance Partner and Tax Group.
The whole-day seminar will be held at Casino Español de Cebu from 8 AM to 5 PM.
