Alegre bags 2nd TripAdvisor Excellence Award
CEBU, Philippines - Alegre Beach Resort and Spa in Sogod, Cebu has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. This is the second time the resort made it to the prestigious list since it received the same recognition in 2012 for maintaining an overall rating of 4.5 out of a possible 5 as reviewed by travellers who have been actual guests of the resort on TripAdvisor.com, the world’s largest travel site.
The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
“Once again, we are very pleased to have been recognized and to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence this year. We in Alegre are guided by our vision to passionately deliver ‘Alegre Moments’ so that our guests always bring home a memorable experience,†said General Manager Dottie Wurgler-Cronin who is also thankful to all the resort staff for extending genuine Cebuano hospitality to all guests at all times.
“Without our people, we couldn’t have achieved this excellence award. They are a big part of this success,†added Ms. Cronin who is also appreciative of the good comments and recommendations in the travel website from the regular repeat guests who come at least twice a year in the resort.
At present, Alegre is almost done with its major makeover project to improve the resort’s facilities and amenities. The renovation of the Pavilion restaurant and the Spa has been completed recently and are getting good comments from guests with its refreshed menus and surroundings. By the second week of June 2013, the indoor function rooms shall be ready to cater to guests’ conference and meeting needs, as well.
This year, which marks its 20th year is another exciting chapter for the resort as it is increasing to 44 additional rooms, plus state of the art facilities and iconic structures. “Yes, we are expanding, and there’s no stopping Alegre from being the prime tourist destination in the north of Cebu in the years to come,†announces General Manager Dottie Wurgler-Cronin.
