Prohomes continues building affordable homes

CEBU, Philippines - Richard Lim had one thing in mind in organizing Prohomes Development, Inc. (PDI) – that his company in Cebu will carry on a mission to provide quality homes within the means of most Filipinos.

As eight years came to pass, the company’s chief executive officer is pleased that his brainchild lived by its purpose, building as many subdivisions in Metro Cebu, even expanding its latest project Babag, Lapu-Lapu City, Haniyyah Homes II.

The mother company, Johndorf Ventures Corp. (JVC), will allocate part of P800 million in resources allocated for Cebu from P1.5 billion set aside for this year to PDI that it has assumed full management in recent months.

As Prohomes marks its eighth year, the company is focusing on marketing phase two of Hanniyah Homes.

Michelle Chiu, sales and marketing manager,  disclosed that Hanniyah II has gone way ahead of schedule with many of the remaining available units already ready for occupancy. She attributed it to a unique technology Johndorf adopted from over 20 years of experience in building affordable to high-end residences.

Prohomes first developed Haniyyah Homes in a 6-hectare property across the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Barangay Babag in 2010. It completed phase one in over a year with all its units sold out and almost fully occupied.

The developer proceeded with phase two last year to build over 500 more units of 2-storey townhouses built in rows, half of these will soon be ready for occupancy.

Haniyyah Homes II is situated on the south side of the entire subdivision.

Johndorf invested some P200 million in Prohomes to develop Haniyyah Homes, the eighth gated residential subdivision Prohomes built in Cebu since 2006.

Haniyyah buyers have the option to own their homes, each with an average selling price of around P1.25 million, through PAG-IBIG or bank financing, or soon by availing of Prohomes’ in-house financing scheme.

The gated community has a multi-purpose hall and basketball court with landscaped parks and playgrounds, concrete road networks with underground drainage system, and a commercial area, among other amenities. (FREEMAN)
