Greenwich opens 10th outlet at Pacific Mall

CEBU, Philippines - Capitalizing on its distinctive fast-casual feel of customer dining experience, national pizza and pasta chain Greenwich recently soft-opened its 10th outlet in Cebu at the Pacific Mall along National Highway corner M.B. Fernan Avenue, Estancia Ibabao, Mandaue City.

The 52-seater restaurant, that enjoys a no-competition environment being the only pizzeria inside the mall, aims to tap the unexplored market in areas which are not close to city centers.

“With our opening, we hope to satisfy the demand from pizza and pasta foodies who do not have the luxury of time to go to the heart of the city because of their hectic schedules,” said Charo Florence Delmar, trade marketing officer for Visayas and Mindanao.

For four years now, Greenwich has reinvented itself from being a mere casual restaurant to now a fast-casual dining place, specifically tailor-made to fit the changing needs of customers.

Delmar said being a fast-casual restaurant, Greenwich allows customers to experience service like that of a fast food while not giving up on its fine dining qualities, thus making it more flexible.

Aside from transitioning into the fast-casual kind, they have also reinvented their other features such as the current uniforms of their crew which are said to be designed by the famous fashion designer Rajo Laurel.

To make fresher pizza, Greenwich also overhauled the kitchens in all of its restaurants to accommodate equipment that process the dough used in making pizzas.

Unlike before, when all the restaurants depended on the central commissary for their already formed pizza dough, each outlet can now prepare its fresh dough right in its own kitchen.

It was revealed that they are targeting at least P60,000 in gross sales every operation day, although they pointed out this is not a fixed target that applies to all their stores. Target sales for other outlets will largely depend on the location of the shop as well as its size.

According to Delmar, their main focus this second quarter is to campaign for their newest offer, the Lasagna Supreme, which just recently made its way to Greenwich stores across the country.

“Taking cue from other best-selling Greenwich original fares, the Lasagna Supreme is now loaded with even more mouth-watering goodness. One can hardly wait to dig in and savor this pasta perfection,” invited Delmar.

She said that Greenwich’s best-tasting pasta now has thicker noodles and chunkier meat sauce, complemented by three types of cheese and topped with a rich and creamy white sauce all served with one-piece garlic stix.

The Greenwich Lasagna Supreme is tagged at P79 for its snack size and P99 for a full size. Feast and barkada bucket versions good for three and six friends, respectively, are also available at P399 and P499.

In the short term, Greenwich is eyeing to put up another branch in Elizabeth Mall, although this move is still on the drawing board at the moment.

Their Pacific Mall branch is slated for a grand opening next week where the first 100 customers with a minimum purchase of P419 will get a chance to win one free pizza every month for the whole year.

Winners will be given pizza cards to be used when claiming their pizza and said cards, though not convertible to cash, are also transferrable, which means that a friend or a family member could use it if the holder is unable to claim his or her pizza for the month.

The new branch will now add to the roster of other Greenwich outlets here in Cebu which includes their shops at SM City Consolacion, Gaisano Grand Mall of Mactan, Gaisano Mactan, SM City Cebu, Raintree Mall, Ayala Center and Gaisano Tabunok. (FREEMAN)
