Cebu Business Park hosts outdoor art show
CEBU, Philippines - An outdoor art show featuring Raul Arambulo’s photographs and Raymund L. Fernandez’s sculpture will open today at the Linear Park of Cebu Business Park.
Raul Arambulo, one of Cebu’s top professional and commercial photographers, has a strong but varied portfolio in various categories of creative commercial photography: food style, lifestyle, design interiors, portraiture, travel, as well as various categories of landscape.
The photographs by Arambulo in this exhibit are presented as large-scale prints featuring the developments of Ayala Land affiliate, Cebu Holdings, as well as urban scapes from his various travels abroad. These include the Boston skyline, Paris, Union Square in New York.
This juxtaposition of photos aims to show developments in Cebu, such as the Cebu Business Park and the Cebu I.T. Park, as comparable to other cosmopolitan centers of the world.
These are complemented by pieces of sculpture and attractive visuals for pedestrian traffic within the area.
Fernandez features sculpture in various materials and subject matter. They are outdoor sculptures which raise possibilities for where they can be installed. “Passion, Grace and Fire†as well as “Black Magic Woman†are a series on music using thick cut steel mounted on concrete bases using stainless steel bars. “Jesuit Encounters an Angelâ€was the resin mold for a copper sculpture now installed at the Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman. The “Sacred Heart of Jesus†is the upper detail of a work in progress.
Powered by Greenworld LED Solutions, Inc., the outdoor show also features LED floodlights which will highlight the art pieces and enliven the surroundings at night.
This partnership is part of Cebu Holdings Inc.’s continued commitment to promote sustainability.
This show, curated by Estela Ocampo-Fernandez, will run from January 16 to February 28 at the Linear Park (between Cebu Holdings Center and
City Sports Club Cebu), one of the four main green spaces inside the bustling Cebu Business Park.
The show is part of the “Art in the Park†series which aims to promote Cebuano arts and culture inside the Cebu Park District. Cebu Park District is the integrated brand of Cebu Business Park and Cebu I.T. Park, the city’s premier district for business, leisure and lifestyle. (FREEMAN)
