Golden Cowrie opens in Boracay

Since it opened its first branch in Lahug in 1982,  Golden Cowrie has witnessed innumerable birthdays, weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, and other special events (hello first date, first paycheck, first pregnancy, etc.). It has become part of every Cebuano family’s tradition. It is synonymous to Filipino cuisine whether you are a visitor to the island or a native who seek to find comfort in the cooking that almost rivals our mothers’.  

Maybe it is the deep-fried and succulent Crispy Pata whose crunch delights any pork lover, or the hot and piping Prawn Sinigang that reminds you of the seaside and cool ocean breeze, or maybe it’s the incomparable Baked Scallops that could make you forget your date for the moment while you drown in its buttery goodness that draw wave after wave of happy and satisfied customers day in and day out.  Not to mention the native desserts that serve as the perfect ending to such a glorious meal of Filipino favorites. Truly, Golden Cowrie has established itself as the ultimate go-to restaurant if you want to experience Filipino dining at its finest.  

In celebration of 30 delicious years of fulfilling cravings and warming hearts, Golden Cowrie is proud to announce its 13th and newest branch in the majestic island of Boracay.  Golden Cowrie Boracay is located in the lobby of Boracay Uptown Hotel, right smack in Station 2 where it’s accessible to every beach lover enjoying the white beaches. The new branch can seat 60 people in the indoor area and another 60 in the seaside area, big enough to accommodate every soul that would like to revel in its home-cooked meals. 

Golden Cowrie Boracay is the 6th branch to open in 2012, with the Tagbilaran branch’s inauguration ushering the start of the new year.  The Hukad sa Golden Cowrie in Davao SM Annex and Dumaguete followed suit in July.  October saw the launch of Hukad sa Golden Cowrie in SM Lanang, Davao, while Cagay-anons had their fill of Golden Cowrie favorites in November. 

To usher in the new year, Mindanao welcomes two more Hukad sa Golden Cowrie restaurants in Veranza KCC Mall General Santos City and Royal Garden Hotel, Ozamis City, respectively.  It’s truly a magnificent time for everyone’s favorite modern Pinoy restaurant which constantly reinvents its menu, while retaining the familiar comforts of our very own kitchen. 

Golden Cowrie and Hukad sa Golden Cowrie now has 13 branches nationwide. In Cebu, it is located in Salinas Drive, Lahug; 2/F The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu; G/F SM City Cebu; Robinson's Cybergate; and Marina Mall.    (FREEMAN)
