Norkis introduces a new line of motorcycles

CEBU, Philippines - Norkis Trading Corporation, in partnership with Louyang Nothern EK Chor Motorcycle Co. LTD. has officially unveiled new motorcycles under it’s affliliate company , Sunriser Manufacturing Corporation.  The new brand of motorcycles called the Sunriser Wonderbikes are designed to cater to the need of a more affordable yet good quality motorcycle.

The launching was part of  the 50th anniversary celebration of Norkis.   The company achieved its ISO badge for excellence and safety in 1992 and has become one of the leading companies in motorcycle manufacturing and dealership in the Philippines.

Louyang Nothern, on the other hand, is the largest motorcycle company in China with a factory area of one hundred hectares. The factory, which adapted to the Japanese Technology of manufacturing,  is capable of producing a million motorcycles a year.

Nilo Pamutongan, the Sunriser Head for Sales and Marketing, said that the growing demand for motorcycles in the country especially in the Visayas and Mindanao was the reason why they produced these superior yet affordable motorcycles. He reiterated that their new models now bridge the gap between price and quality.  Pamutongan added that the growing labor force, which consists of the majority of the motorcycle buyers, now has more buying capacity.

With sales at over a 10,000 units annually, Sunriser  Wonderbikes  aim to become the leader in the motorcycle trade in the Philippines. Presently, it has 66 branches and 150 authorized dealers nationwide with plans to open 100 more branches before 2014.

The Primo-S and the Hombre-R are both 110cc models with trendy and aggressive designs to match their Japanese counterparts. Both models feature a beautiful crystal taillight design that enhances brake and warning lights, making it more visible at night.

The motorcycles have 110cc Air-cooled Carbureted Engines producing 5.20hp at 8000 rpm and torque at 7.0 N.M at 7000 rpm. Pamutongan claims that both models can do 62.5 kilometers to a liter of gas.

The Primo-S is available in black, red and yellow matched with decal designs that make it look more youthful.

These new model feature LED lamp on the front top cover that illuminates to a colorful cycle of lights. The headlight lenses are made of high strength, clear polycarbonate that gives it a luminous, futuristic look. The Instrumentation Panel features a modern, attractive design that indicates gear position.

Both motorcycles are equipped with Disc Brakes in the Front and Drum Brakes at the rear. The Hombre-R comes with a Front Anti-Lock Brake System.

The Hombre-R is priced at P50,000 while the Primo-S is priced at P46,500, inclusive  of insurance and registration. The two models come with a 3-year warranty that covers all engine parts except consumables that are stipulated in the buyer’s manual. 

Pamutongan added that the Wonderbikes represent the Norkis Brand of quality and performance. He guarantees durability and is confident that their products are competitive both in price and quality when compared to its Japanese counterparts. (LRS) (FREEMAN)
