CEBU, Philippines - Promoting Cebu as a second home destination for local and international markets, Primary Homes Incorporated (PHI) launched its first resort-inspired residential development in the southern town of Argao the other day.
PHI Vice President for Sales and Marketing Ramero Espina said in an interview that the company aims to create or introduce new residential projects to serve the increasing demand brought on by the economic growth and tourism boom in Central Visayas.
He added that connecting flights from Cebu to foreign destinations are also an advantage since mobility to the investor’s first home is one of the requirements for a second home destination.
Last Wednesday, PHI introduced its first beachside residential development project, Argao Royal Palms, which is designed to become a retreat for locals and foreigners.
Argao Royal Palms boasts of premier amenities which include an oceanfront clubhouse with an infinity pool, an aqua golf range, a fitness gym, sauna and jacuzzi, and a beach area. Homes are of contemporary Asian design that exudes laid-back luxury.
“The first thing that attracts tourists when they come to the Philippines is the beaches. Most of the people look for beach properties. Residences beside the beach are a hit to the market nowadays that’s why our mid-selling point is a home by the beach,” Espina said.
He said that PHI’s residential projects in the south cater to the needs of tourists who prefer to stay longer in a certain tourist destination.Tourists who love to explore the countryside or take relaxing vacations.
The company has invested P250 million for the 4-hectare project which will be constructed in three phases with completion targeted within two to three years.
The first phase, comprising 50 units, will be turned over to its buyers at the last quarter of 2013.
Argao Royal Palms will have a total of 150 units with prices ranging from P3.2 to P15 million.
Espina said that the company has sold 10% of the units during the pre-selling period that started last month.
With the vast tourism potential of the province, Espina further revealed that PHI will develop another beachside residential project in the northern part of Cebu.
Aside from Argao Royal Palms, the company currently has other ongoing developments such as Royal Palms in Panglao Island, Bohol and Alegria Palms in Mactan Island. (FREEMAN)
