CEB takes delivery of 39th aircraft

- The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) accepted delivery of its 39th aircraft last August 12, as part of its expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region.

This is CEB’s 21st Airbus A320, acquired brand-new from Toulouse, France. CEB’s aircraft fleet is also composed of 10 Airbus A319 and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft.

With the brand-new A320, CEB retains its distinction as having one of the most modern aircraft fleet in Asia.

Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 21 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders. It is slated to begin long-haul services in the 3rd quarter of 2013, with the arrival of 4 Airbus A330 aircraft from 2013 to 2014.

As part of its expansion plans, CEB boosts its operations out of its Cebu hub to provide additional options to its guests and increase accessibility to six destinations.

Starting October 4, 2012, CEB will add thrice weekly flights from Cebu to Bacolod, making it a 17 times weekly service. It will also add a daily frequency from Cebu to Caticlan, gateway to famed Boracay Island, making it a thrice daily service.

Starting October 5, 2012, CEB’s Cebu-Manila flights will be a 13 times daily service, with additional four weekly frequencies. Its Cebu-Pagadian flights will also be a daily service, with additional twice weekly frequencies.

Meanwhile, just in time for peak surfing season, CEB will add two more weekly flights from Cebu to Siargao, making it a four times weekly frequency. (FREEMAN)
