CEBU, Philippines - Publicly-listed Solaire Resort and Casino, which will be opened in Manila next year, needs to hire 4,600 full-time employees, and has identified Cebu as one of its primary manpower supplier for this requirement.
Solaire Resort & Casino will be the Philippines’ first integrated resort to open in PAGCOR’s Entertainment City located along the Philippines’ famed Manila Bay. Solaire will combine luxury accommodations, a Vegas-inspired casino environment, signature restaurants and personalized service.
Solaire Resort and Casino chief executive officer (CEO) Michael French said that although the company has received a total of 18 thousand applicants for the various job requirements of the luxury resort, he said only about nine to 10 percent of the total number are qualified for employment.
Cebu’s reputation in tourism, and an educational hub for Southern Philippines, gives opportunity for the company to find the best people here, specifically those that have good experiences from the booming and world-class hospitality sector here.
Solaire Resort & Casino is a US$1 billion integrated destination resort being developed by Bloomberry Resorts Corporation. It is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2013.
