Event organizers unite to offer prospects for Pinoy products

- AJ de la Torre -

CEBU, Philippines - A partnership has been made by a local and international event and exhibition organizer in order to tap more foreign markets that would open opportunities for Filipino products.

Messe Frankfurt, Germany’s largest trade fair organizer, has appointed WE-LINK as their official sales and marketing partner in the Philippines. WE-LINK is the new division formed by Global-Link Exhibitions Specialist, Inc. (GESI), a company engaged in organizing exhibitions and special events in the local and international market.

WE-LINK is headed by Wilbert Novero, a known personality in international trade fair promotions.

The partnership is seen important by the two parties “to remain on track and ahead in today’s global business environment which would be best done by understanding how a product is best promoted for it to stand out in the global race.”

WE-link sees international trade fairs as one of the fastest ways in promoting products and the Filipino’s ingenuity in design and craftsmanship.

“WE-LINK is focused on bringing Filipino exporters all over the world to showcase their products and create business relationships with potential exhibitors and visitors and service providers. Backed by over 15 years of experience in the promotion of international trade fairs and his exposure in the Europe and other key international markets, Mr. Novero has been around and is here to show everyone that Filipinos can compete and be successful in the global market. WE-LINK is your GLOBAL marketing PARTNER.” said Jing Lagandaon, Chief Operating Officer of Global-Link.

As for Messe Frankfurt, it has organized over 100 fairs in 2011 alone, more than half of which took place outside Germany in more than 30 countries around the world.

Their fairs covered various sectors like automotive parts, furniture & furnishing, gifts & houseware, home and contract textiles, consumer goods and more.

Some of MF’s most famous fairs for Philippine exporters include Ambiente, the largest and most important consumer goods fair in the world last February10-14 2012; Light+Building, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology on April 15-20 2012; Automechanika, the largest automotive aftermarket event on September 11-16 2012; and Tendence, the international Autumn Fair Frankfurt on August 24 – 28, 2012) .

WE-Link will organize Philippine pavilions in Tendence (Aug 2012); Christmasworld (Jan 2013) and Ambiente (Feb 2013), and preparations and the call for participations in these events is already underway. (FREEMAN)
