Platinum Beacon to help real estate firms thrive
CEBU, Philippines - Newly established property, operations and investment management company, Platinum Beacon Strategic Management Corporation (Platinum Beacon) is moving towards helping more real estate related companies and developments thrive in tougher competition in the sector today.
Platinum Beacon, manages and operates the newly opened Harold's Hotel, will make the hotel’s success as its pilot project in creating a distinct niche in the competitive market place, whether in hospitality, and real estate sectors.
The company’s chief operating officer (COO) Rey L. Fuentes said that Cebu has a good potential for real estate and accommodation investments, although some experts are saying that Cebu will experience a glut of hotel rooms, and condominium units in the next three years.
Platinum’s expertise, he said is to manage the art of defining the opportunities amid competition and over-supply, via effective positioning, planning, and identifying competencies.
Aside from property management, the company is also offering market intelligence for investors to help them read the investment opportunities in a certain potential area.
Harold’s Hotel, the pilot project of the company, is now running at 70 percent occupancy rate for its 90-room accommodation.
Positioned as an upper-mid hotel targetted to the growing corporate market, Fuentes said the hotel was able to slowly make its name in the marketplace, because of its location, pricing, and luxury accommodation service, that is at par even with the foreign business hotel brands.
Started its commercial operation on February this year, the 12-story Harold’s Hotel is designed to attract the discrimating corporate executives by providing a very private environment.
Fuentes, who is known as one of the experts in property management in Cebu, said that after Harold’s Hotel will take off, the management company will actively move towards helping other properties to thrive, including condotels.
Cebu's real estate boom needs proper management, otherwise, investment will lose its opportunity to take advantage of the fertile and still growing market. —(FREEMAN)
