CEBU, Philippines - HP Philippines has unveiled a wide array of Personal Computer (PCs) products to the active growing technology-savvy consumer market in the Philippines, taking advantage of the rosier outlook for PC acquisition starting this year.
The technology solutions giant revealed a redesigned consumer PC portfolio a “A New HP World” with sleek looks and the latest technologies to enhance the way consumers connect to the people, entertainment and information that matter to them to pursue and achieve their personal passions.
In its formal presentation to the Cebu market, HP Philippines country general manager for Personal System Group, Albert G. Mateo Jr., said that because of the active consumer interest in the Philippines, HP had already shipped over a thousand new PCs as of latest count, which is 20 percent of the entire global shipment performance.
While the economy, specifically in the Philippines saw a strong rebound last year, Mateo said the company is expecting a good economic performance in the Philippines this year, and IT spending is seen to go together with the upswing.
Because of the high interest of Filipino consumers to own the premier brand for PC use, affordability is no longer an issue, and more people will be able to have good disposable income to acquire top-of-the-line IT tools.
In fact, in the last eight years, PC penetration among Philippine household grew dramatically, from 5.2 percent penetration in 2002, to 12.7 percent in 2009.
The redesigned HP Pavilion notebook PC line and the new HP Touch Smart Consumer PC are built on inspirations from culture, art, fashion, and HP’s MUSE (Materials, Usability, Sensory appeal and Experience) design philosophy.
MUSE includes a mix of materials such as metals, alloys, and plastics; easy-to-use features for improved usability; a blend of artisanal elements for sensory appeal; and intuitive features for streamlined experiences.
The new HP Pavilion dv series notebook PCs include impressive features such as HP CoolSense technology, HP TrueVision HD webcam, and HP SimplePass. Select models of the HP Pavilion dv series also feature Beats Audio for a powerful audio experience.
With a sleek, clean appearance, the new HP TouchSmart Consumer PC reclines from upright to almost flat, providing increased comfort for longer-term use of the freedom to position TouchSmart Consumer PC on a kitchen counter, or anywhere the family gathers.
“From enjoying music, to playing games, to enabling intuitive touch experiences, the new range of consumer touch experiences, the new range of consumer notebooks and desktops offers style, performance, entertainment and security features that work together to present seamless connected experience,” added Mateo.
