Intel launches 2nd generation core processors in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - Following a successful launch in Manila a few months back, Intel finally brings to Cebu the much awaited, revolutionary computer processor that features smart visual experience for end users.

With the advent of global sharing through social networks, Intel adapts to the current visual lifestyle and talent of Filipinos by introducing the new 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors during its Cebu launch last April 12 at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel.

The 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors , codenamed “Sandy Bridge”, are packed with exciting new features that will not only attract high-end gamers and technology enthusiasts, but also photo enthusiasts, movie editors, graphic artists, and everyone else who are engaged in creating visual content.

Intel Microelectronics Phils. Inc., acting country manager Calum Chisholm said Intel aims to always emphasize the faster capabilities of their processors.

For the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors family, which includes the i3, i5, and i7 processors, he said features included are Intel Quick Sync Video and Intel Wireless Display (WiDi).

The Turbo Boost technology that is available on Intel Core i7 and i5 boost power levels to add gigahertz when needed.

Meanwhile, the Intel Quick Sync Video can convert HD video files on a laptop to another device for a few seconds even without a videocard.

The Intel WiDi adapter, on the other hand, can stream live videos from a laptop to a TV screen without the hassle of tangled wires.

3D viewing is also made easy with these new second generation processors without the need to buy specified 3D or Bluray players. (FREEMAN)
