Autodesk unveils 2012 portfolio of design suites

CEBU, Philippines - Autodesk Inc. has announced its 2012 portfolio of 3D design, engineering and entertainment software and an expanded family of design suites.

The new suites will make it easier for customers across a wide range of industries to adopt and use a broader set of Autodesk’s comprehensive and sophisticated design software, said Autodesk president and chief executive officer (CEO) Carl Bass.

“The new family of Autodesk and creation suites continues our goal of democratizing design and creativity,” said Bass.

The suites will be available in convenient packages with a range of capabilities that bring together compatible sets of complementary products for entertainment, building, infrastructure, product and visual design that, when used together, help to manage data, workflow and process.

“The software suites contain a complete set of tools that work together to help our customer imagine, design and create world-leading products, buildings, and infrastructure and blockbuster films” added Bass.

The Autodesk family of design and creation suites offer greater access to powerful industry-specific design tools in a convenient package and are more cost-effective and easier to install, deploy, and manage than individual products. (FREEMAN)
