Our FB Page

We now have a few more members of the Motorists’ Corner Page on Facebook including the CITOM Board.

We would like to thank those who share with us their comments, complaints, and suggestions as these would help those people in authority to also keep doping their job right. If we keep quiet, these people would just sit and do nothing.

Anywhere we go, we love to observe things and there are some things that caught our attention the past few weeks.

Here are some of them:

1. The tent that was put up in front of the Cabancalan barangay hall in Mandaue City taking up at least one lane of M.L. Quezon Ave. A reader said that this is not something unusual as this barangay seems to be doing it all the time.

2. The bus of barangay Basak-San Nicolas Cebu City, which we caught doing an illegal maneuver at corner N. Bacalso and V. Rama Ave. last March 11. The bus driver made a left turn coming from the inner of the two lanes for vehicles that are supposed to head straight and this was made while the left turning light was red. The bus sports plate number SHN-952.

3. Last Saturday while we were loading some stuff into our vehicle that was parked in the basement of a mall, we noticed that a red Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number SGV-710 was headed out to the exit and it was 6:30 p.m. We can only hope that the person using the government vehicle was at the mall for official business.

A reader called our attention about the children who cross the causeway at the South Road Properties to dive into the sea waters.

He said that he is worried that a motorist might hit one of these children as this will definitely be a major headache for the driver.

We have also noticed that an area beside the road leading up the causeway has been opened to the public and we see many kids who hang out there at night.

We hope the SRP Police can do something about this.

We’re happy to note that car dealerships are opening in the southern part of Metro Cebu and we hope that more of them would also open facilities that would also cater to the servicing of vehicles.

This is something that the people from the south are really looking forward to. We tried the new branch of Isuzu in Linao, Talisay City and the personnel were very accommodating.
