SVGH transforms for better service

CEBU, Philippines - With Atty. Augusto W. Go at the forefront of its operations, St. Vincent General Hospital has since underwent an overwhelming transformation since it was acquired by the University of Cebu around two years back.

Barely six months from its acquisition, SVGH earned its tertiary level license from the Department of Health and from then on, its transformation has been impressive.

Just very recently, SVGH unveiled a new building to further boost the hospital’s quality service.

With Atty. Go sitting as Chairman of the Board, Dr. Iben Ting as President and Frederick Ong, Jr. (VP, Finance), there will be more to expect from SVGH in the near future.

Among the company’s plans for the hospital include establishing a medical school. Currently, SVGH serves as a perfect venue for further trainings of the school’s nursing students. Midwifery students as well as health aides are also having their internships at SVGH.

The blessing and inauguration of SVGH’s newest building was graced by Atty. Augusto Go with his wife Ms. Elizabeth Gan Go and board of directors Ms. Candice Gatianuy, Mr. Frederick Ong III, Mr. Harrison Ong, Dr. Iben Ting, and Atty. Mark Tolentino. Meanwhile, former Justice Secretary Agnes VST Devanadera led the ribbon cutting during the formal unveiling.

Go said the date of the blessing of the new building was thought out by his wife in time of the feast day of the Immaculate Conception. The building is offered in commemoration of Mother Mary.

SVGH, in its new peak, offers services such as Medicine, Obstestrics-Gynecology, Pediatrics and surgery for Clinical Department. Services offered by the Department of Radiology are CT Scan, X-ray and Ultrasound. For Nursing Services they offer Ambulatory Care, Mother and Child care and Adult Care. (FREEMAN)
