CEBU, Philippines – While Filipino businesses still have to learn a lot about the benefits of non-traditional market strategies such as the Multi -level Marketing (MLM) concept, world renowned business management expert Kunal Basu will conduct a one-day seminar in Cebu this coming December 3, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu.
To be jointly organized by the Network Marketing Association of the Philippines (NMAP) and DXN International, the seminar will focus on encouraging Cebuano businesses to push revenues amid a competitive market, through MLM.
Basu, who is also the director of the University of Oxford's Advanced Management Program, will talk about how MLM will be able to help companies thrive, as this is one of the proven effective business management concepts applied by successful companies in developed economies like United States and Europe.
NMAP founder and president Anthony "Tonton" Leuterio said that there is a big potential of the MLM concept to take off fully in the Philippine market because of its active community of consumers coupled with the rising number of Filipino manufacturers that are now penetrating in other market's abroad.
"MLM is now an emerging marketing platform that should be taken advantage by businesses," Leuterio said adding that taking steps from adopting the traditional marketing, MLM should be maximized by Filipinos.
According to Leuterio, Basu will be providing an in-depth explanation to businessmen, "why they [business people' should adopt into MLM marketing concept," on the seminar's theme dubbed "Winning with MLM Business."
Although, this kind of marketing concept has been introduced in the Philippine market for quite a while already, Leuterio said local companies still have to learn its benefits.
He said this seminar, which will be conducted by the international expert of MLM- Basu, will give opportunities to local businessmen to increase their revenue and bottomline, by adopting the MLM concept.
Leuterio who is also a DXN International motivator and one of the pillars in MLM marketing in Cebu, added that this kind of marketing platform, is the most cost efficient, easy to maintain business operation, while providing unlimited number of people the opportunity to improve their livelihood by starting their own businesses, through network marketing, or direct selling.
MLM is a marketing strategy, in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a down-line of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. Other terms for MLM include; network marketing, direct selling and referral marketing.
