Motorists passing through Mambaling might start to feel the inconvenience of the construction of the flyover starting today.
A reliable source told us that they would start closing the road today so that the traffic authority, yes, CITOM, can assess the problems in the routes that would be taken by the motorists.
Initially, F. Llamas and Sabellano Sts. are definitely going to be problem areas and we hope that our traffic officials would have the balls to implement the law in these areas.
Well, we’re hoping they’d have the balls as the elections are over.
After six months, the troubles of the motorists shall be gone as the contractor, WTG Construction, targets to finish this project on time. WTG has a very good record when it comes to meeting deadlines so six months will be six months.

There wasn’t much traffic around Metro Cebu yesterday except in the areas where there are polling places.
While traffic may not have been a problem, garbage is and we hope that the candidates will help clean up starting today.
You can start by picking up the pieces of paper that are strewn around the polling places.
The posters should come next.

Last weekend, we had a pleasant drive to the southwestern side of Cebu Province.
Well, except for some areas where the road is very rough like in Barili, but in general it was very fine.
With the provincial government encouraging the people to visit the towns, a good road network is important.
It has been some time since we visited the town of Badian where we have lots of relatives, particularly in barangay Banhigan, and it was great to see that so much has improved and it encourages us to take more trips back there to visit.

A reader is hopeful that with the elections there would be new leaders in some areas and the traffic problems there would be addressed.
He said that he means the town on Consolacion in the north and Talisay City in the south.
The elections definitely give us hope for the better, so we hope that you voted wisely yesterday.
