CEBU, Philippines - To cope with the changing lifestyle of most Filipinos, Coca-Cola Philippines decided to venture into producing other products aside from the established softdrink products already known in most households.

Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines human resource manager Anna Mari Transmonte said that due to the fast-paced lifestyle of most Filipinos, venturing into other liquid drinks is their way of adjusting and coping with the environment.

Transmonte said that they are now focusing on their new line of products that are suited for different lifestyles and markets as well as for different occasions.

She shared that their new products such as the Minute Maid Pulpy Orange Mango, Real Leaf juices and the Samurai energy drink are made for the public not only to satisfy their thirst but also for health benefits.

“The products now are not only thirst quenching but gives more benefits as well as for those who are very health and body conscious,” she added.

Transmonte said that though they have noted that they were affected by the financial crisis, which has greatly affected the purchasing power of the consumers, she said that they have tried to find means to cope with the problem.

She added that the company will continue to find ways to be able to offer packages pegged at affordable prices without compromising the quality to suit the needs of the people and to keep the demand of products at acceptable levels.

Aside from investing on other products to maintain the fame of their brand in the market despite emerging competition, Transmonte said that the production of their new products is in line with their promise to inculcate to the public the importance of health as well as to strengthen their role in preserving the environment.

She added that they can assure that their products pass through the proper quality control agencies and that they do not risk on putting ingredients that are harmful for their consumers’ health.

In fact, Transmonte said that in accordance to their fight for healthy living, they are aiming for a huge crowd in their activity this October 4 called “Halika,” which is a call for the public to participate in their aerobic exercise which will not only benefit the participants but the beneficiaries of the event as well.

She said that the participants will undergo a weigh-in before and after the exercise and the total body mass lost during the exercise, will be equivalent to the amount given to their beneficiary.

Transmonte said that the same previous event in Cebu have already helped two groups, one of which is the Cebu City Task Force for Street Children.
