UNO opens Cebu business center
CEBU, Philippines - Unlimited Network of Opportunities International Corporation, or UNO, a Filipino-owned company engaged in the distribution of health enhancing natural products and other services recently opened its Cebu business center at The Boulevard.
UNO, according to chief operating officer William Barbo, was established two years ago to provide Filipinos with additional sources of income to enhance household earnings and to change negative perceptions about networking. “There are many negative experiences about networking. We put up UNO to change that perception,” he said.
Barbo said the UNO system is a combination of direct selling, multi-level marketing and the binary system.
In 2007, UNO set up a satellite office in Cebu but this year, they felt the need to put up a business center which is three times bigger than the first office. To date, in just two years of operation, UNO already has 50 branches nationwide. At least 40,000 Filipinos serve as its distribution arm selling a total of 13 health and beauty products, as well as technology services that address the needs of modern living and have a strong market appeal.
William Chavez, Cebu’s top distributor and is also the Top 2 nationwide distributor, said UNO’s products are carefully selected and developed and are highly-consumable goods. “The secret to our growing membership and patrons are effective and highly-consumable products. We are selling goods that people need and use,” he said.
UNO’s top sellers include Glutathione soap, capsules and lotion; 8-in-1 Coffee that promotes well-being and boosts the immune system; Ultima-C, a non-acidic Vitamin C; and Fit Right slimming capsules with L-Carnitine, Green Tea and Ampalaya. UNO is also the distributor of Prepaid Pinoy, the newest, safest and most convenient way to sell prepaid cellphone cards.
To better serve their growing clientele of Filipinos living and working abroad, UNO is set to establish a Universal Business Center which will be used by foreign-based applicants who wish to open business centers in their countries.
Barbo, however, clarifies that UNO is not a get-rich-quick scheme. “It is a contemporary way of spreading wealth across multiple individuals instead of a select few,” he added. – Quennie S. Bronce
