Hyundai opens dealership in Cebu

-

Eyeing Cebu's thriving business community and ever-growing multi-segmented industries, Hyundai's truck and bus segment recently opened its first dealership at the Mandaue Reclamation Area to establish presence in the Visayas regions.

Product manager Jennifer F. Agleron from Maxima Machineries Incorporated, the exclusive distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the country, said that they envision to create a strong market presence for the brand in the Cebu market.

She said that their Cebu branch is the first dealership they have in the country and they are optimistic that their operations will position Hyundai at the forefront of the country's truck and bus segment.

“Hyundai is trying to be number one in the trucks and buses segment with our recognized quality and competitive pricing that is around 20 percent to 30 percent more affordable compared to other brands in the market,” Agleron said.

Because the customer needs are as diverse as the businesses they run, Hyundai caters to a wide range of customers offering a wide range of truck and bus models.

Among their bus and truck product lines include limo buses, heavy duty trucks and light duty trucks and these are eyed to cater to specific market segments.

Agleron said that their limo buses are targeted for the bus and tour operators, travel agencies, schools, hotel operators, and ecozone locators.

Meanwhile, the light duty trucks will be marketed to logistics companies and freight forwarders whereas heavy duty trucks are targeted for construction and mining companies, Agleron discussed.

“Hyundai is well-accepted in the global market and the quality is already there and this can be proven by the repeat orders that we have been getting from our client base. Our main edge over other manufacturers is that we have a complete line from trucks and buses to light and heavy duty,” she pointed out.

With the aim of strengthening their network, Maxima Machineries Inc. decided to open their first dealership in Cebu as they saw its huge potential as another growth area in the country considering that the province serves as a melting pot of all regions within the Visayas area.

With two existing showrooms in Manila, Hyundai Truck and Bus is looking at another growth area after opening their Cebu dealership and they are specifically eyeing Davao to be their next location.
