Fuel saver: A welcome development

- Ehda Dagooc -

At the height of surging fuel prices, a fuel saver creation comes as a welcome development for most motorists.

F2020 product inventor and president of F2020 International Corporation Bernilo Pacheco said the Philippines consumes 17 billion liters of fuel a year. This number is expected to decline if big consumers, including motorists will use fuel additive alternative to save on fuel usage as well as save on cost.

F2020 fuel saver is a formulation that helps improve complete combustion and based on testimonies of many users, upon using F2020 the reduction of their fuel consumption is at a minimum of 10 percent, an average of 20 percent while some users saved 35 percent or more.

“At the current price of diesel and gasoline, F2020 could roll back the price to an average of P6 to P15 pesos,” Pacheco said.

Certified by the Department of Energy (DOE), the research and development (R&D) of this product started in 1994, and supported by the Dutch institution in Holland, thus it passed the Euro 4 standard, and US environment protection agency.

Pacheco said he chose to go back to the Philippines, and roll out this product, to make it truly a Filipino-made patented invention, rather than be made known as invention from other countries.

In Cebu, F2020 International is partnering with Six Eleven Marketing as exclusive distributor for Cebu and all shipping companies nationwide.

The product will not only arrest the problem in expensive fuel, significantly, it is also a big help in efforts to reduce the emission of excessive harmful smoke leading to pollution and as an accord to earth in compliance with Republic Act 8749, otherwise known as Clean Air Act of 1999.

Pacheco said that there is a good possibility that the company will set up another manufacturing plant here, as soon as demand goes up.

The product is using 80 percent Palm Oil, while rest of the formulation is sourced from 20 different kinds of plant oils.

According to Pacheco, while the product is now gaining popularity among institutional clients, like Unilab, Goodyear Philippines, Pepsi, Wrigley Philippines, and other big shipping companies, the product is expected to hit the mainstream consumers, as retail packages are now being made available in the market.

At present, its plant in Manila is producing 3,000 liters a day of F2020 fuel saver, Pacheco said the plant is preparing to increase it production in the next few months, as demand is tripling.

“We have to establish our own bio-fuel plant in Cebu. There is good supply of Palm Oil from Bohol, Agusan [Mindanao],” Pacheco said during the launching of the product held recently at the City Sports Club.

In the absence of Palm Oil base product, Pacheco said F2020 could also use other alternative organic oil, such as Coconut oil, Getropa, Castor Oil, among others.

In the Visayas, he said there is a large number of coconut plantation, this can be a good source for F2020 product, if the demand will hit thousands of liters a month.
