As IT investment is now deemed a vital factor to survive the growing competition among businesses, Microsoft Philippines is bullish to capture a sizeable market share in the Southern Philippine market with the introduction of its next generation infrastructure and application platform.
Microsoft Philippines announced the availability of its three advance technology infrastructure to help businesses maximize their potentials and improve productivity, while strong global competition is becoming a threat to every business.
The leader in technology solutions around the world is deploying Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 to enterprise customers and developers in Southern Philippines, during its formal launch of the products Monday, held at the Cebu City Sports Club.
“The launch of the three new products represents a major milestone to help customers on the road to ‘Dynamic IT’, Microsoft’s initiative to help customer optimize their people, processes, and technology, and in turn position IT as a strategic asset for their business,” said Microsoft group product manager for Windows Server David Lowe in a press conference.
In this technology-driven economy, IT has become a business advantage rather than a “cost burden” to every operation, thus, Microsoft is expecting to boost adaptability of these new IT infrastructures from across the business segments, not only those big operations, but also the micro-enterprises.
Unlike in the past, that huge IT infrastructure budget was considered as an added cost to every company operation, this time, companies have recognized a “must” need to invest on IT in order to survive.
Microsoft Southern Philippines sales operations director Boy Bawal said the company has seen a phenomenal growth in server adaptability among companies in the Southern Philippine market.
“Companies now consider the benefit of adapting efficient technology solutions,” Bawal said. Besides, he added that Microsoft have also adjusted its cost offering, as servers are priced attractively to tap the cost-conscious enterprise segment.
Bawal expects that those companies which are using Windows server 2000, will update their infrastructure to the latest ones, in order to compete.
“These new enterprise products help customers more efficiently and securely manage their entire infrastructure and move to a virtualized environment while also delivering business intelligence and next generation Web experiences to boost business results,” Lowe said.
