Beauty and wellness sector targets younger client base
With the media intently bombarding messages that defines concepts of wellness and beauty, more and more youngsters these days are pushed to patronize beauty products and avail of services from the health and wellness sector.
Although this might seem a welcome development for the industry sector, some players still want their evolving client-base to realize that achieving an enhanced look and appearance through treatments does not come in an instant.
“These days, the workplace is already very much competitive so most applicant for a job ensure that they have the perfect appearance and physical attributes to match, but we usually tell them that treatments are no magic as everything will take time,” said Dra. The call for vanity according to Dra. Sesante has become very demanding these days especially that even men are already riding the bandwagon and teenagers too.
“Men usually have more demands unlike before that we normally have older women clients,” she said.
She added that the client-base now a days have become very aggressive with the products, services and treatments offered by the beauty and wellness industry achieving an increase of awareness level to a point that they even do their own research via the internet and is much more knowledgeable on what treatments and products would best suit their needs.
These days, whitening products and treatments such as diamond peel, glutathione and botox are mostly in-demand for the younger market, said Dra. Sesante.

Mostly before women who can afford are the ones who come often in our clinic but today even ordinary students would already spend much for our vanity products and treatments,” shared Dra. Sesante.
Some of the reason for this seeming trend according to her is that treatment and product prices have become much more affordable because the industry has become competitive throughout these years.
“The industry is already very competitive because of the influx of new players and because of this competitiveness, prices are driven lower and the quality of the products and services are also improved which is an advantage for the consumers because they have more choices,” said Dra. Sesante.
