PAL extends P88 fare promo for Holy Week
MANILA – Philippine Airlines has extended its popular P88 fare promotion on any domestic route to the high Lenten holy days of Good Friday and Black Saturday (March 21 and 22, 2008) – a move seen to benefit travelers during one of the peak travel periods of the year.
The promo, dubbed “Holy Week Special,” slashes PAL fares to a flat rate of P88 for a one-way flight on Fiesta Class (economy) between
The special fare is already being sold at PAL ticket offices and accredited travel agents until
Covered by the promo are all PAL-operated flights between Manila and Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Laoag, Legazpi, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Tacloban, Tagbilaran and Zamboanga.
It follows a similar campaign last month, called “Seat All You Can,” that featured P88 one-way flights to and from any PAL domestic point. That promotion drew a strong market response, prompting the flag carrier to revive it for the tailend of the Holy Week.
Complementing the current promo is a companion scheme that offers passengers buying one full-fare domestic ticket the chance to purchase a second for P88 each way on selected domestic flights.
Unlike the Holy Week promo, this one has longer travel validity – from February 6 to
It covers only the following PAL flights: Manila-Laoag vice-versa (PR 229, PR 226, PR 228); Manila-Bacolod (PR 131); Manila-Butuan (PR 475); Manila-Cebu vice-versa (PR 843, PR 842, PR 868, PR 856); Manila-Davao vice-versa (PR 809, PR 816); and Manila-Iloilo vice-versa (PR 139, PR 146).
Passenger names, routes and dates on the first (full-fare) and second (promo-fare) tickets may vary.
For both the Holy Week and the companion promotions, a confirmed booking is required. All promo fares are exclusive of taxes and fuel and insurance surcharges. For further details, passengers are advised to call the 24-hour PAL Reservations number, (02) 855-8888.
