Thinking Tools unveils easy-on-the-pocket PC
Providing consumers with expanded alternative in software preferences, technology gadget reseller Thinking Tools, recently announced the availability the Asus Eee PC.
The Eee PC, the most affordable mobile notebook manufactured by Asus already has a bundled Linux OS and prompted by consumers’ demand, it also has a pre-installed Microsoft OS.
The Asus Eee PC is only half the size of the regular notebooks and weighs less than a kilogram. It has a 7-inch monitor size, with built-in memory of 4 gigabytes, camera, and WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) ready.
So far, this is the most affordable mobile notebook available in the market today, with suggested retail price (SRP) pegged at an average of P18,000 per unit.
According to Thinking Tools product manager Jackie Lou Pardillo, the company has decided to pre-install Microsoft OS to the Asus Eee PC, due to the growing demand from consumers to install Microsoft operating system programs, such as Windows XP, among others, aside from its built-in Linux OS.
With the additional Microsoft OS, consumers will have to pay additional license cost of about P1,800 for starter Windows XP program.
