Christmas décor maker finds treasure in leisure

Treasure in leisure somewhat prides the maker of a unique style and concept of a Christmas decor that gives its own touch of individuality.

The idea just flashed in the mind of Brenda Medel out of fun from these materials: drinking straw, thread, staples, and garlands. At first she just hanged it in her store without the intention of selling it but customers saw it to be very wonderful for decorations fit for this yuletide season.

With just P100, she can already make two Christmas decorations. She started making many of these decors last October, just around the corner of Freedom Park stall # 219. These unique decorations can be bought for P50 per item for medium-sized and P25 per item for the small-sized. One can also avail of a reasonable price of P180 for one dozen of the small-sized decor.

Brenda’s expected return of investment for the small-sized decoration ranges from P80-P120 per dozen while for the medium-sized decoration ranges from P10-P20 per item.

Though she just started selling these decors a few months back but it already reached as far as Bohol and Leyte. Buyers also from Busay and other parts of Cebu province have ordered dozens of these decors for business purposes.

Brenda herself makes all the decorations by hand.

For a startup seasonal business like this, Brenda Medel said that it takes a lot of patience to make these decorations. Money as the capital would be easier to find but having patience as the capital is priceless.
