Kia clinches P18.5M deal with Gothong

-

Kia Motors recently won the bidding for Gothong Southern Shipping Lines, Incorporated that led to a purchase of 30 brand new car units worth P18. 5 million.

The car purchase is part of Gothong Southern’s People Design, Development, Retention and Rewards Program wherein 30 employees from the company that includes 25 team leaders and five officers from the company will get Kia car units. Fifteen team leaders will be getting a Kia Picanto worth P 510, 000, another ten will get a Kia Rio worth P 610, 000 and five officers will be getting Kia Carens worth P 945, 000.

Kia Motors also offered three years warranty on parts and labor to Gothong Southern.

Aside from Kia, five other car companies were considered such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Hyundai and Isuzu.

But according to the president of Gothong Southern Shipping Lines, Incorporated Charles Robert Gothong that choosing Kia Motors was an easy choice to make on their part.

He said that, “we chose Kia because they have the best value for money among all the car brands in the market today. Unlike other car brands, the design of Kia vehicles is in a class of their own.

Gothong also added that, “I personally admire the Carens for its sleek and beautiful design, the performance is outstanding, they are very fuel-efficient especially the Picanto and the prices are just right.”

The People Design, Development, Retention and Rewards Program that led to the giving out of the 30 car units according to Gothong is “a strategy that would greatly support the company’s strategy of developing leaders who develop people who develop winning businesses.” —Rhia de Pablo
