Epson banks on speed to sustain market lead

- Joefel Ortega Banzon -

To keep pace with the rapidly evolving world market, Epson deems speed as a crucial element for survival these days.

Hence, drawing inspiration from the Chinese moon cake legend which highlighted the importance of speed, Epson recently launched the fastest additions to its ever growing omnibus of imaging solutions the Stylus Series C110, CX7300, CX8300, and the Perfection V500 Photo scanner.

With a small gathering of press people from various parts of the country, Epson chose a moon-cake themed launch for its new products at the Temple Bar, Greenbelt 2 in Makati City.

Epson Senior Manager for Corporate Sales Mike Mondragon said they chose a moon cake-themed launch as the ancient legend illustrated how the speedy distribution of secret messages inside the moon cake served as the all-important spark in the Chinese victory versus the Mongols.

“We in Epson are heeding the valuable lesson of this story: speed brings victory,” Mondragon said.

“Everyday, we are faced with a deluge of deadlines, quotas and requirements that have to be met; and their quantity is such that every hour, minute and second counts. The only way that we can compensate is to act faster or to at least acquire tools that can maximize the amount of time we expend. This is what we envision through our latest imaging solutions,” he says.

The Epson Stylus C110 is considered as the definitive efficiency-oriented printer, with a default output speed of 25 ppm (pages per minute).

Meanwhile, the all-in-one (with print, copy and scan functions) printers Stylus CX7300 and CX8300 are the fastest printers in their category with an output capacity of 32ppm, and a copy speed of 30ppm.

Considered as the most efficient scanner to date, the Perfection V500 maximizes time by eliminating all scanning delays via its ReadyScan LED Technology (assures very little start-up time) and its Automatic Document Feed function (eliminates the hassle of having to manually scan several documents separately).

Jay Rañola, product manager of Epson’s Consumer Division, stressed that aside from the element of speed, the latest Epson products offer a lot of benefits and savings for the end-users.

Pegged at affordable prices, the quality of prints of the latest Stylus Series is at par or yet even better than the mono-lasers of other brands, Rañola said.

The Epson Stylus C110 costs P5,995, the CX7300 is pegged at P7,495, the CX8300 costs P8,995, and the Perfection V500 Photo scanner is sold at P14,995.

With the launch of Stylus Series C110, CX7300, CX8300 and the Perfection V500 Photo shows Epson finally breaking away from the tyranny of slow and inefficient imaging while banking on speed to revolutionize Epson’s services and sustain its lead in the market.
