CCCI to confer six entrepreneur awards
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will extend six award categories to Cebuano entrepreneurs during the upcoming annual Grand Chamber Awards that will be held this coming
CCCI awards committee headed by Teresa Chan and former CCCI president Anastacio Muntuerto Jr., categorized six entrepreneur awards this year, namely; Entrepreneur of the Year; Young Entrepreneur; Environment Conscious Entrepreneur; Business Entrepreneur and Socially Responsible Corporation.
Also, six Special Citations in various categories will also be awarded including the countries and companies’ who contributed significantly to the government and development of community which have various development community projects.

Joining Chan and Muntuerto to the committee of this year’s Grand Chamber Awards include; Hernan Streegan, Jose Ng, Dr. Efren Valiente, Geronimo Sta. Ana, Mila Espina, Carlos Co, DTI regional director Aster Caberte and Jay Yuvallos who designed and crafted the award trophies and plaques.
Last year, the Chamber Awards recognized Frederick Ong Jr., and founder of Ong Kin King & Company Inc., as the “Entrepreneur of the Year.”
Ong, considered as Cebu-based taipan, had successfully established multi-million corporations which began from a retail store of agricultural products and bakery supplies and sustaining its growth for over 45 years now.
Restaurateur, Alex Derek H. Dytian, bagged the CCCI”s Young Entrepreneur Award for having been able to successfully installed a Group of Restaurant and Food Catering Service in young age of 33.
Successful player in the fresh and high potential wellness industry, Johnie C. Lim bagged the Emerging Entrepreneur Award, for the success of his Body & Sole chain of spa outlets in the country.
Victoria Q. Congmon, the founder of Sunburst Fried Chicken, Inc., got the Small Business Entrepreneur Award for the company’s continues success of Sunburst .
Lacto Bacillus Pafi Techno Resources Corporation, the maker of PAFI Lacto Bacillus probiotics, is named as the most “Socially Responsible Corporation.”
