PhilNits will conduct the training in collaboration with the Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) of Japan and AcrossGrate Global Software.
PhilNits president Maricor Akol said that the objective of the training, which will be held in Cebu on November 20 to December 1, 2006, is to equip participants with the skills in Java software development and increase the pool of IT professionals in Java programming.
The training targets to accommodate about 28 IT professionals, to undergo the two-week training.
In a statement, PhilNits revealed that the demand for software development using the Java language has been growing particularly from overseas and local Japanese companies.
The training program would be using educational contents, which are currently offered in Japan by 10art-ni Corporation that has an excellent development track record as Japan system integrators with unparalleled technical expertise.
Highly-experienced lecturers of AcrossGate Global Software, Inc. would be providing participants with the development curriculum for Japan-oriented Java application developers.
Akol said the training program would also help participants increase their chances of passing the PhilNITS certification exams held twice a year.
The other features of the program include introduction to Java object-oriented programming with Eclipse, J2EE application development with Eclipse+Tomcat and Struts, and a comprehensive trial exam on the PhilNITS FE afternoon exam featuring the JAVA programming language.
Akol added that the test would also serve as a gauge to confirm the comprehension level of the participants regarding the training program.
Java is a general purpose programming language with a number of features that make the language well suited for use on the World Wide Web (www). It is an object-oriented language similar to C++, but simplified to eliminate language features that cause common programming error.
