Dubbed as the best-value call and text unlimited service, this new entrant to the mobile telecommunication industry, Sun Cellular, allows its prepaid subscribers to enjoy 12 days of unlimited "Sun-to-Sun" calls and texts from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 in the following afternoon.
The prepaid mobile users which account for at least 90 percent of the total mobile phone users in the country, is given this opportunity to maximize, their P100 prepaid load, said the company's official release.
The three major mobile phone operators, including Globe Telecoms, and Smart Communications, are now outsmarting each other to offer value-added service to their customers to sustain subscriber base, while the market has almost achieved the saturation point.
According to SunCellular, with "Daylite Call and Text Unlimited" offer, users can readily access the feature without having to register, or access special numbers to avail of the special rates.
Late last year, Sun Cellular pioneered the offering of promotional strategies that offered "almost free" services to users.
In an earlier pronouncement made by Sun's vice president for usage marketing Victor Janolino, he said that the company is set to introduce more value-added services to maintain and increase its user base that has been pumped up by ongoing deployment of price war strategy.
As a loyalty strategy to maintain its customer base, Janolino was earlier quoted that Sun will come out with more value-added services in the near-term focused on providing infotainment (information merged with entertainment) services to its clients.
Both, Globe and Smart are also offering different concepts of value-added services to sustain each other's subscribers, and invite others to use their respective networks, whichever is offering higher-value (for money) services.
SunCellular added that the new "DayLite and Text Unlimited" offer joins Sun's roster of value-for-money unlimited services that includes the revolutionary 24/7 call and text unlimited and 24/7 text unlimited Lite.
