Perpetual spikers favored in NCAA
MANILA, Philippines — The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Altas men’s sand spikers and their female counterparts from Letran gun for grand slam championships in the NCAA Season 100 beach volleyball that unwraps on Tuesday at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone’s sand courts.
Klint Mateo will fill the spot vacated by reigning MVP Louie Ramirez, teaming up with Jefferson Marapoc and Dexter Arrozado in an attempt to nail the men’s crown for a third straight year for Perpetual Help as Lara Mae Silva, Gia Maquilang and Jogi Maquilang aim for the same for Letran in the women’s side.
Coach Sandy Rieta’s Junior Altas look to regain the title in the juniors division while fielding Nathan Ciriaco, JM Regorosa and Kirby Alecida. The Altalettes last won the crown in Season 94 through Noel Kampton, Hero Austria and Louis Gamban.
