Pinoys face tough match in Laos

Olmin Leyba - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines sets out to get the job done today, this time on unfriendly grounds against Laos, to bolster its drive in the Asean Championship-Mitsubishi Electric Cup.

The road to the semis got tougher for the Filipinos after settling for a 1-1 draw at home versus Myanmar last Thursday. This heightens the pressure to secure the victory in the away assignment at the Laos National Stadium in Vientiane (6:30 p.m. Manila time) before tackling the two favorites in Group B, Vietnam (Dec. 18 in Manila) and Indonesia (Dec. 21 in Surakarta).
