MANILA, Philippines — Young marksmen of the Ateneo Rifle Pistol Team (ARPT) pulled off a shocker in the 46th SEASA-Philippine Open 2024, upstaging national team members for top honors in the Air Pistol Metalllic Silhouette (MS) event at the Marine Corps Training Center in Taguig.

Krizza Jane Reymon, 20, scored a twin kill in winning the individual gold and the team championship with teammates Adrian Justin Cabrera, 21, and Robert Allan Juan, 19.

Reymon hit 35 out of 40, Cabrera notched 27 and Juan added 25 for a total of 87, winning by seven over national team members Daniel Canton (31) and Conrad Abainza (29) and teammate Gloria Cabuslay (20).

The bronze medal went to the Ateneo alumni team of Jeff Jongko, Michael Go and Marie Ellenore Go, who combined for 55.

Canton and Abainza took the individual silver and bronze medals, respectively.

ARPT is coached by Michael Go, with the help of his wife Mariel Go and ADMU lecturer Jeff Jongko, former varsity teammates during their student days. Coach Go credited the team’s success to their exposure in various events.
